Hello, I'm Emily Lau, a Creative and One-Time Foot Model (see photo) based in Melbourne.
Things I do: concepting, art direction, graphic design, illustration, writing and bad dancing.
As an Art Director, I work with my clients to solve problems and come up with ideas that touches people emotionally. I believe it's what makes people connect to a brand.
As a Designer, I work with my clients to pull apart their brand/project to find out what makes them unique. This enables me to create bespoke visuals across all mediums, including print, digital and film.
Having completed studies in Fine Arts (UNSW), Design (RMIT) and AWARD School, I am deeply interested about the creative world at large. Art, fashion, photography, music, digital experiences and branding are contant inspirations. This collectively informs me to produce considered, forward-thinking work.
I have worked in large advertising agencies including DDB, Cummins&Partners, Ogilvy, McCann and Leo Burnett. Previous clients include Westpac, Schmackos, DON Smallgoods, VicRoads, Momentum Energy, Porsche, agl, tigerair, L'oreal/Maybelline, Metro/PTV, Maxwell&Williams, Victoria Racing, 7-11 and Cadbury.
I am available for freelance work. If you are interested in collaborating, or just sharing a bottle of wine, let's chat!
